EDUCATION AND TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS

PMN Education Award

Applicants must be a National Women’s Council of REALTORS® member in good standing of the San Diego Chapter of Women’s Council of REALTORS®.

FIVE $100.00 awards will be given out in 2010. Members may only receive one award per calendar year. Winners will receive their awards after showing proof of course completion. Winners have 12-month from the award date to complete a PMN course.

Selection of the award recipient will be made by the Education and Travel Award Committee. Application deadline is July 15th, 2010. Winners will be announced by August 15th, 2010.

Travel Award

ELIGIBILITY:
• Applicant must be a WCR REALTOR member in good standing with the local chapter.
• Applicant must have been a San Diego WCR member for at least 6 months before applying.
• Applicant must have served or be serving on at least one committee.
• Applicant must have been a REALTOR for the last two years.
• Eligible individuals may be awarded this honor no more than one time within a 12-month period.
• Officers that receive stipend to travel for the chapter are not eligible for this award.

APPROVED WCR EVENTS:
• Mid-year National event held in May
• National Annual Meeting held in November
• California State Chapter Meetings

DEADLINE FOR AWARD APPLICATION:
Completed applications must be submitted to the Membership Travel Award Chairperson by July 15th and winner will be announced in August.

TRAVEL ITEMS COVERED BY THE AWARD:
• $500 Stipend towards event registration, airfare and hotel.
• All other expenses above the $500 will be at recipient’s own expense.

EXPECTATIONS REGARDING REIMBURSEMENT:
• The recipient of the award will be required to schedule and make payment for his or her own travel plans.
• Recipient will be required to attend all WCR related sessions and will be asked to provide a report to the governing board upon return.
• Reimbursement for $500 stipend will be issued after proof of attendance by the recipient has been submitted and confirmed by the committee.

CANCELLATION AND ITINERARY CHANGE POLICY:
• The San Diego Local WCR Chapter will not be responsible for ANY reimbursements for travel plans or events in which the awarded recipient makes a cancellation or change to the approved itinerary.
